I spin, spin lights, my lights to the walls. Over falls, clout of earth, tides befall. Only beneath waves, I can hear time call. Oil and dirt. I want this to end. Flowing through my veins I realize (I want this) it needs to begin. With my hand over mouth, I relearn to breathe. Through a small aperture, I begin to see who I was and what I’ve been. Someone else, someone who was drowned, ebb has taken all shedded skins. With new eyes, new shadows lead, gateway to where young can feed. Stripes, dots, flood my sights. The walls spin back. Rejection fail. This is control, total reverse, these lights resolve, I can’t see, blinded by a beam of guilt and pure stupidity. I was saved from the wreckage, rescued from flotsam heaps. My heart never left the deep.
